ABOUT ME

Alok L Katkar

Alok Laxmikant Katkar is a photographer and academician based in Pune, India. He is a postgraduate in Journalism & Mass Communication and has completed the Advanced Certification Course in Photography. He also has a Certification in Ornithology from the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS).

In his 9 years of experience, he has earned specialization in wildlife photography, still life photography, and digital post-processing. His work has been featured on several national and international platforms and has received awards and recognition in several contests and exhibitions.

Being an avid birdwatcher, he has recorded and photographed more than 250 species of birds to date.

Currently, he is working as a Faculty at Bharati Vidyapeeth's School of Photography, Pune and has worked for some renowned brands like Ranka Jewellers, Jupiter Hospital, VH1 Supersonic, Reserve Bank of India, and ARAI (Pune).
